Art, Conservation & Community: A Night to Remember
On 5 March, we had the privilege of partnering with Native Visions Galleries and acclaimed artist Jaco van Schalkwyk for a conservation‑focused exhibition that left us inspired and deeply grateful.
The evening brought together art lovers, conservationists, travellers, and supporters who believe in protecting Africa’s wild spaces.
Through the sale of five of Jaco’s extraordinary wildlife pieces — with another six still available — we were able to make a meaningful contribution to conservation efforts.
Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, we have already donated the Following:
• R30 000 to the Endangered Wildlife Trust (EWT)
• R30 000 to the Greater Kruger Environmental Protection Foundation (GKEPF)
Additional funds supported the photographers whose images were used in the campaign, as well as the marketing and advertising that helped bring the exhibition to life.
The remaining balance is being held for distribution to conservation organisations where the need is most urgent.
This initiative wasn’t just about art — it was about impact.
And that impact continues beyond the exhibition.
In other news:
With our up and coming April EP tour, our guests contributed towards a critical elephant de‑snaring operation, where a bull was found with a snare cutting into his neck and ear.
Thanks to their support, travelling with FTW to EP we were able to make a donation to the PNHF, helping ensure this elephant receive the care he desperately needs.
These moments remind us why we do what we do.
Travel, art, and community can create real change — and we’re honoured to be part of that journey with you.
