Grootbos Forest Lodge

Overview

Grootbos Private Nature Reserve is a luxury eco-reserve in the Western Cape located close to Hermanus on the Southern tip of Africa, tucked between mountains, forest and the Ocean.

Stroll through an ancient Milkwood forest, soak up the beauty of the fynbos or admire dramatic mountain and sea views whilst making your way towards your private suite. Each of the accommodation offerings at Grootbos has been designed to complement the pristine natural setting, while never compromising on style or luxury.

During the Secret Season at Grootbos (May, June & July), nature comes together in an orchestra of natural and special wonders. The skies are decorated with bursts of sunset hues and flashes of brightly coloured plumage, the fields are adorned with the vibrant colours of blooming fynbos, the air is filled with the buzzing of bees and birdsong, and the deep blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean come alive with The Marine Big 5
