Leopard Hills: A Haven of Luxury

After our enchanting stay at Dulini, we ventured to Leopard Hills, situated atop a rocky outcrop in the western Sabi Sands. Upon arrival, we were greeted with refreshing gin cocktails—a perfect welcome in the heatwave.

Our suites offered breathtaking views of the bush, complete with private splash pools that elephants frequently visited for a drink. Lunch at the main lodge was a feast for the senses, accompanied by iced coffee and views of a waterhole graced by two elephant bulls.

Our game drives, led by Johan, a seasoned guide with 14 years of experience at Leopard hills alone, were nothing short of spectacular. Highlights included sightings of Vutomi the young male leopard lounging in the safety of his favorite tree, encounters with rhinos and elephants, and sundowners overlooking the majestic Sand River and the iconic Post Office Tree. Dinner at the boma was a culinary masterpiece, with traditional pap and sheba being a hit with the international guests at our table.

The roars of the Plains Camp Male lions echoed through the night, and our morning drive brought us face-to-face with these dominant cats as they relaxed after their patrol where they slept in the dry river bed together with the ximungwe pride. Leopard Hills offers a harmonious blend of luxury, community, and wildlife, making it a must-visit for travelers seeking the perfect safari experience.
