Tingana The Regal Shy One

The Regal Shy One

Captured during a safari at Djuma in September 2020, this striking black-and-white photo features Tingana, whose name means “shy” in Shangaan. Despite being elusive for over a month, my anticipation to spot Tingana, the esteemed King of Djuma, was high. Just as we left camp one morning, a kudu’s alarm call led us straight to him. Thanks to Aubrey’s keen tracking skills, Tingana made multiple appearances during our four-day stay. In this moment, he is seen striking a regal pose atop a termite mound at Galago Pan, exuding the essence of a true monarch of the wild.

By adding this elegant image to your collection, you not only honor the beauty and majesty of wildlife but also support crucial conservation efforts.
