On a chilly spring evening, we had only encountered plains game until Aubrey paused for drinks. As we savored our G&T, the distant roar of a lion pierced the air, prompting us to quickly finish our drinks and hop back onto the vehicle. To our amazement, we found Dark Mane, a striking male lion from the Northern Avoca Males, born mid-2013 to the Avoca Pride in Timbavati.
